What we aim to provide through this workshop: ✔️To provide a comprehensive education in evidence-based pain science for all. ✔️To promote the use of evidence-based practices in the fitness industry and dispel harmful myths and misconceptions about gym training, strength workouts, and injury risk. ✔️To equip participants with effective communication strategies to improve relationships with clients in pain. ✔️To provide practical tools and resources for special considerations of programming for clients in pain. Upon completing the pain science masterclass, you will be able to: ✔️Incorporate lifestyle factors into exercise programming and help yourself/clients make changes to promote healthy habits. ✔️Recognize how pain affects movement, and how to modify exercise technique and form to decrease pain and prevent injury*. ✔️Understand the complexity of pain conditions and their multifactorial nature and how to approach programming for yourself/clients in a holistic way, ✔️ Effectively communicate with others/clients who are experiencing pain and improve their ability to empathize and create supportive environments for people with pain. ✔️ Increase client retention by developing a reputation as a knowledgeable, understanding and empathetic professional who has a solid understanding of the complexity of pain. *Nuanced implications: will be discussed in the masterclass.
